Has anyone every experienced this terrible sore/burning/gurgling feeling just below the center of your breast bone?

It is very uncomfortable and occasionally I feel teh painin my intestines,

Is this gastritis, and do people generally vomit from it?!

    THANKS ALL FOR THE HELP

It sounds like heartburn to me... or gastro esophogeal reflux disease. I'm not so sure if it is gastritis or not because the symptoms are somewhat different : "...The symptoms of gastritis depend on how acute it is and how long it has been present. In the acute phase, there may be pain or gnawing in the upper abdomen, nausea and vomiting. In the chronic phase, the pain may be dull and there may be loss of appetite with a feeling of fullness after several bites of food. Very often, there are no symptoms at all. If the pain is severe, there may be an ulcer as well as gastritis..."

I hope this helps!! Either way you should see a doctor about it soon.

    xoxo

I had gastritis for many months and never vomited once, though I was nauseous.

The symptoms you are listing sound more like heartburn or acid reflux to me. What have you eaten today? Could it be your gallbladder?

Oh my! That sounds EXACTLY like what I had today. I was gonna post on it, but it went away after I took advil. I ate tons of raw onion in my salad before I went to sleep last night, and I know that is what it was.You sound just like what I went through. My pain was a dull burning-like pain that was right where my stomach was and under my breast bone.It was constant, and I heard gurgling and gas moving around. The pain sort of radiated around to my lower intestines a little bit. I just hate the constant annoying pain. I get that way about once a year, and it seems like it is always after I eat alot of raw onion, or red onion. I never v'd from it, and I have been getting that way for as long as I can remember. I assume it is just some sort of acid indigestion and gas. It is amazing how good pain relievers work, instead of tums, etc. Hope you are feeling better now.
