I don't know what to do; I need to get a blood test but the last time I did that, the nurse messed up and it caused me to V* Here is what happened...
I was going into the doctor for a blood test at 10 AM. When I got there, the doctor checked my vital signs and then sent me off to get my blood drawn. (because I had this done more than once, I wasn't worried about getting dizzy) She prepped my arm and told me to squeeze a ball until the needle got in. But the needle missed and it punctured my vein twice. As the blood was being drawn, it was extremely painful and I was getting dizzy, pale, and starting to feel sick. Once it was done I was sent home. On the way home my body went into shock and I got sick on the way back! We stopped at a gas station to get me some water and a bag while I got out of the truck. I was standing in direct sunlight when it got worse and I became so lightheaded that not only did I go temporarily blind, but I almost passed out. I held onto the door to keep from falling down. I don't remember much after that other than finally arriving home and I recovered in 15 minutes.
Because of that incident, I've been too scared to get another blood test. I fear that i'm going to get dizzy and end up V* again. That's why I need some help trying to get the courage to get my blood taken again. What should I do?
