    Default Panic Attacks

    Hi, very new here!

I have a question about panic attacks that I haven't really seen described anywhere else here.

When I get a panic attack (always related to emetophobia) I act really awful to everyone around me. I snap/yell at everyone that tries to help while simultaneously begging them to help me :|

Does anyone else do this? Everyone I know is very understanding and dismisses it, but I really hate the way I talk to people during.

    hi, also new here.
i myself do not know the feeling.
i do not suffer from emetophobia.
seems a bit wierd me being on here, but i live with my sister and she gets really bad. she says she wants to be alone but if you dont try to help her she gets mad and thinks no-one cares. if you do try to help he she tells you to leave.
i'm sure everyone around you knows that you dont mean to be that way and you cant help it. me and my family try to understand what she wants, but it is hard. we are coping though, so don't worry about everyone else, they arent upset with you, they just care x

    I'm new here myself.

I think I understand what you mean. In fact, this morning I had a major panic attack. My Mom was already up, so luckily I didn't have to be alone, but when she offered me Pepto Bismol I kept refusing, saying I was freaking out, and then going in circles until she got me to calm down. It may seem weird, particularly looking at it afterward, but I think it's just part of the panicking. After all, it's not the rational part of your brain in control.
