At times I get this weird combination of a taste and sensation that makes me feel like throwing up. It's not from the stomach, it's a reaction to the aftertaste of certain foods. What often triggers it is anything that is salty, oily and hot. Something lied fried chicken will do it everytime. When I get that sensation in my throat it feels like I want to retch. What stops it is having something else to counteract it, a different flavor. So if I ever eat those certain trigger foods, I must always have a soda or cold water or something sweet nearby. If that taste/sensation happens, I can sip the soda and it will go away. Room temperature or lukewarm water will make it worse. It has to be ice cold water. Preferably something sweet and or sour. Like cold lemonade or fruit juice is perfect is perfect. Even a candy bar or something that will distract my taste buds to make the sensation go away.
The sensation can be caused by nearly any type of food and it happens randomly, but certain foods seem to trigger it more than others. Worse is fried chicken, it can happen with greasy pizza(pizza hut gets me all the time), french fries, sometimes certain fruits like apples, things with melted cheese. There are lots of triggers, but grease and salt is probably the main one.
Has anyone experienced this? I've only met one other person that seemed to have this happen to them, and that was in 6th grade.
