Major triumph!

Okay I had to cook dinner tonight for a friend and the recipe included CHICKEN! ACK! LoL! But I managed to cook the chicken just fine! I was nervous about working with raw chicken but my friend knows about my emet and I was able to joke around with him about it and calm my nerves. I may have washed my hands like I was scrubbing in for surgery 100 times but I still did it! I am so PROUD OF MYSELF!

By the way, the only meats I eat (given a choice) are fish and chicken. I have never, ever, not even once had food poisoning. Never.

It's good to take precautions but chicken is not an overly dirty meat.

Well done! i also had a chicken triumph this week, i hadn't eaten it for months and thought it was getting silly so i bought a whole one, managed to touch it to pull the legs out (event though i was squealing and wincing - anyone would have thought i was putting my hands down a loo not touching a chicken lol) I cooked it for 45 minutes longer than it said just to be on the safe side and I must say it was delicious!

I love the "scrubbing up for surgery" that's so funny but we probably DO have surgeon clean hands half the time heehee.

i don't eat it myself but cook it for my husband......i just don't like touching any meat/chicken cause it feels gross......lol
