When do you think we will be safe..and has this happened to anyone else?

My daughter V** once on monday night around 1030pm, and then i gave her a zofran and she went to bed, woke up feeling fine!! When will me and my husband and son be in the clear??
And has anyone else had a child only V** once? weird..last year she was sick for about 6 hours before it stopped.

It doesn't sound like she had a bug tbh so you're probably all in the clear already. Not all vomiting is caused by a virus, although I think we all tend to jump to that "worst case scenario" conclusion, myself included! But, say it was viral, then the incubation time is 12-48 hours with about 30 or so hours being the most common time for symptoms to strike.

Kids and even adults can vomit just the once - my fiance did twice last year and it frightened the hell out of me and we never did get to the bottom of what it was but I never got it - luckily for him lol

My daughters aunt had a stomach virus the other day and only v* once and then one of her other kids did the exact same thing. Now my daughter is coming down with it too.....really freaking out about it!

Well if thats what it was it passes quick!! And me and my hubby didnt catch it, nor my 3 month old son, which we kept away from her for a couple of days!

It could have been a virus and the Zofran helped her. I imagine since it has been a week now, you're definitely safe from whatever it was.
