Thread: Help anyone?

    Unhappy Help anyone?

I have a 3 year old daughter and she is catching this stomach virus that her aunt has. Im panicking because i know she is going to vomit and then i will most likely get it. Does anyone have any suggestions at all because i am an absolute mess and dont know what to do. I cant take care of her how she needs to be taken care of. I pass out when she vomits and without even meaning to i run to the other room and cry. I cant stand this all i want is to take care of my daughter and not panic about getting it myself. Any suggestions at all would be great thank you.

I'm so sorry you're having a bad time. I don't have children so can't relate to that side of things. All you can really do is be as hygenic as you can. Do you have any anti-anxiety meds? x

I know it won't help you now but maybe you should see your doctor and find out about trying some different ones you can take during the day. Can you do anything to take your mind off of it?

Nothing takes my mind off it. and even if i find something at the moment if she vomits or coughs i panic 100 times harder. im on an antidepressant and it doesnt help with this. shes about to vomit right now she keeps coughing until it comes up. im in my room hiding and every time i hear her cough my heart jumps and so does my stomach...all i want to do is leave.

I'm sorry you and your daughter are going through this! All you can do is take care of her the best you can, and be as hygienic as you can. In order to avoid it, you need to keep your hands clean and away from your face. If you do this, you should be okay. How is she feeling now? Better I hope.
