    Thumbs down mouldy bread

i heated up some potatoe and leek soup from a can in the microwave for dinner. but because i've recently been sick, it didnt strike me that it was a 'creamy' soup. but it was in and almost ready so i thought if i had some bread with it, it might soften the blow for my stomach. i had half a loaf in the freezer. i cut 2 pieces in half and i was eating one of the slices, until i realised another one had a little bit of mould on it. i had already eatin one of the halves though. so now i dont know if it had mould on it and am worried its gonna make me sick. even if it would be ok on my tummy, it wouldnt be good after being sick and i dont know how i would tolerate it. the bread tasted fine and i wouldnt of been able to 'taste' the mouldy bit because i was eating the soup with the bread. i dont know what eating it would do to you i just hope i wont get sick

I think you would need to consume a large quantitiy of the mould for it to do you any harm, you probably only consumed a very small amount, if any. If there had been alot you would have tasted it through the soup, it really is a distinctive taste.

Yes, if you did swallow some, it only would have been a very small amount. I know people who have eaten mouldy bread in the past and haven't gotten sick. I hope you're feeling better now!

Mold general won't make you sick unless you have quiet a lot of it. A little taint of it should be fine
