    Default next door noro

In the past six days the entire family next door, and all 3 of her siblings, their spouses and children have all been coming down with noro. As a former emet I've been a LITTLE too fascinated by it (checking their facebook statuses to see who has it next!).

BUT... It feels so different from last year when 'everyone' was getting noro and I was freaking out. Because this year 'everyone' is getting it too, but so did we (in November) and it made me realize that worrying about it was so so much harder than being ill FOR ONE DAY!

I feel bad for the neighbors. It really sucks. But I also know that once they've finally all had it and recovered they will be laughing about it for years to come. Because that's what non emets do, they live with it and then it becomes 'remember the time the whole family got noro and jr. barfed in our bed?' . I know because I'm one of them now

I know you're all in the height of noro season right now and it's all around you. But just remember, IT'S ONLY ONE DAY OF YOUR LIFE! And then you're fine. No lasting damage. Just a really shitty day.

That's not so scary is it?

well the noro just ripped though our house too. we are all on the mend today and our kid finally went back to school. i can tell you it hits hard & fast but is very short lived. i hate having it but im glad we got it over with, now we don't have to worry.

That's a great way to think about ir. It's not so scarey sounding. I had it 4 years ago and after i was like that was not so bad. The nausea leading up to it was the worst. I also felt embaressed cause i threw up in front of my hubby. I thought for some dumb reason he would not look at me the same or be less attracted to me. I guess that stems back to my mom freaking out and screaming at us when we got sick as kids. My dad also would tell us to get away from him when we had a virus.
