Exclamation Panicking for no reason! Argh!

Yesterday, I noticed that my first wisdom tooth had appeared, just a bit. I'm only 13, but it's definately what i think it is.. I'm worried that complications will happen (They always do with me) and I'll have to go to the dentist. I havn't been for ages, and that was just a check-up. I'm worried about thm x-raying my mouth (Gag), Local anasthetic (V*) And making myself v from being so scared! It's so annoying, I don't even know if there's anything wrong with my tooth yet, but still petrified!

Could anybody please try and calm me down!?

Honestly I wouldn't worry about the dentist. I don't know if you already have a dentist but choose a dentist that is reccomended for children. That's how I chose mine and he's fantastic. He deals well with fear, he has a TV to watch whatever you like while he works on your teeth and my kids adored him. You can also go to Ratemd where they rate dentists and doctors and find one that gets rave reviews. As for getting your wisdom teeth pulled I had mine pulled with no anasthetic. I'm allergic to general anasthetic mind you so I can't have it but it actually wasn't that bad. I listened to my music to drown out what they were doing, closed my eyes and pictured myself in a happier place LOL I do think you have that option if you are really scared of the anasthetic.

First, not everyone has problems with their wisdom teeth. Second, I had an xray before and it was easy peasy, I didn't gag or v or anything. Thirdly, if you do need anything doing, local anaesthetic won't make you v, it just numbs your mouth so you dribble a lot! And if for some reason you needed a general, they would give you an anti emetic, as v'ing when you've had mouth surgery wouldn't be good!
