Default She touched my stuff and then said she had the stomach flu!

Help I'm freaking out. I was at a store and while the woman was handling my purchases and credit card she was on the phone with a friend. She said "ugh I'm having a terrible week, first I had the stomach flu now I have a cold." Now I'm FREAKING out because I need to touch the purchases and my credit card. At the end of the purchase she goes, oh but don't worry I won't get you sick I use hand sanitizer like, all the time. Stomach flu isn't killed by hand sanitizer. What do I do??? Could I get sick???

Okay Im pretty sure you wont get sick! Dependent on the good that you bought, you can cook them, that would kill any germs or bacteria. Fruits and veggies can be washed Clothes that you may have bought can be put into the washing machine on a hot cycle! Credit cards you could douse them in anti bac to kill of anything, maybe put it in the microwave. . . Hmm actually though it may melt the credit cards! You will more than likely be fine hun, try and relax and do something to focus your mind on something else! x

I already had to put the credit card in my wallet so it's already touched everything. It's mostly headbands, hair stuff, and a small mirror so I can't wash it. I was doing so much better this past month, just reminding myself I'm not susceptible to the stomach flu (I've only v*ted in four episodes my entire life, not including being a baby, all during elementary school and it was only really bad once, which is why I'm emetophobic) and that even though I used to be HORRIBLE about washing my hands, I still didn't get it. And that whenever I did get a stomach problem, it was always diarrhea rather than v*ting. I never even knew stomach flu was contagious until this year, but now that I know, it's all I can think about! Does this mean I'm just one of those people who just doesn't really catch it like ever?

Well I wouldn't say by the sound of it that you are one of those people that doesn't catch it but it does sound like you are to be honest, I mean some people are more prone to these things than others, you seem to have a pretty awesome immune system Try not too worry about the credit card thing, I mean bacteria doesn't last long from what I have seen from commercials about bacteria and germs! Could you put your wallet in the freezer, cuz bacteria like needs a warm environment to thrive so a cold place might be good x

If she had norovirus, it can survive for months in the freezer (it does way better frozen than at room temp). Plus it lives at room temp for at least 2 weeks!
