Default Why do they do this??

OK..so late Sunday night I posted how sick my boyfriend was and had the stomach bug all morning and day yesterday. He started feeling so much better (stomach wise) late last night.... he went to work this morning after a good nights sleep, I sent him with Saltines and Gatorade.
He worked ALL day just to catch up on everything he missed yesterday.. He just got home an hour ago. I asked him if he was very careful with what he ate today.. ( I was half afraid to hear) But I preached to him what to eat... dont eat anything bad..just saltines , toast or soup or pretzels.
What does he do? Because he was crunched for time.... he ate Saltines FIRST...let them settle and he said he got a McDonalds cheeseburger because he was hungry. OH DEAR!!!
He ate it about 4 hours ago. WHY DID HE DO THAT???
He seems like he is back to normal and everything... but now I hope it doesnt trigger
anything if you know what I mean.
    *SIGH*
    ENDLESS WORRY FOR ME>
Worried I am still going to get it... and now worried..because he just went to bed...and had a darn cheesebuger hours ago.
PLEASE let it stay in his belly!!
Do you guys think he will be OK? Esp. since he hasnt V* since 6:30 am YESTERDAY morning??

I think he'll be alright...I can't promise anything cause I don't know exactly how he feels but chances are if he's eaten the burger it's cause he wanted one and often if we've been unwell we eat what our bodies sort of desire and need and I'm sure he will be just fine

I hope you don't get too worried though mate or you might just make yourself sick. Look after yourself. I'm sure he's alright.

He'll be fine - my OH caught noro from me a couple of years ago and his first meal about 20hrs after last being sick was a takeaway pizza and chips washed down with lager and nothing untoward happened.

I know we go on about sticking to the BRAT diet after being ill, but I think for most people they just trust their bodies and if they feel like eating something they just have it!

try not to let this worry you, if it were going to set him off again i'm sure it would have happened by now.

If he was still feeling terrible, he wouldn't have eaten what he ate. People's bodies are pretty good like that. If he was going to get sick from eating the burger, he probably wouldn't have felt like eating it. That's the way I am, anyways I'm sure he'll be fine!

Ha ha..thanks you guys... I guess I REALLY need to relax already. He is fine. Back to himself. But I still worry.
So this morning before he left for work I PURPOSELY made him oatmeal and again sent him off with gatorade and saltines!!
Tonight will be something light for dinner..maybe soup. But knowing him..he is going to want like grilled cheese or something. I guess I shouldnt worry anymore!! He feels perfectly fine.
I think I will go back to sleeping in the bed tonight too.. or too soon do you think??
I think I am losing my mind with this. I am still sanitizing too. Too much??
I seriously need your opinions!! HA HA
You can never be too safe. I am still watching what I am eating..because I dont know if I will catch it. It has been since 12:30 am early Monday morning since he was INITIALLY sick for the first time.
I appreciate all you help. Thank you!!! I am glad there is a site like this to come to for HELP!

Also..Pauline... WOW!! I cannot believe your hubby would take such a chance so soon after a noro! But like others said..if he didnt think he could handle it...he would not have eaten it! lol

My hubby ate a greasey luch the morning after being sick all night and felt fine all day. He said he just chugged some Pepto before he ate it and was good. I think men are programed differant then women. My hubby has a stomach of iron though. I was supprised he even got a sv to begin with. The reason he caught it was he was cleaning up after our kids and not washing his hands. He now listens and washes his hands well after cleaning up after v*.

My husband was sick last night and nibbled all day on brat stuff today and until he had a mcdonalds cheesebueger, he still felt weak. After the burger he said "ahh there's nothing like feeling good again after feeling so crappy" and he was back to himself. Calmed my nerves a lot. They know their bodies.

Well, I feel better knowing all your guys eat bad stuff too!
My boyfriend told me today... "Gee, you act like I had stomach surgery" I told him he has to be careful... but I cant be too preachy...or he will just get mad!!
He knows his stomach... he had chicken fingers today and tonight a grilled cheese. LOL
So yeah..they know what they can handle! THANKS EVERYONE FOR RESPONDING HERE!

But I wish this didnt consume my life though. I am getting crazy with STILL sanitizing certain things around our place. GAH!!

I would have to agree about men being different. My hubby caught the Noro bug about five days before Christmas. I thought he was okay because he had d* a couple of times and he was queasy. When I woke up the next morning he told me that he v* out the window of the family room (basement level). Yuck! We took the kids to get our annual family portrait the next day. It was scheduled so we couldn't really back out. Afterward, we ate lunch at Mc Donalds. I almost forgot about my hubby's v* episode. He told me that he was hungry. He was okay. I slept in the same bed as him, and didn't catch it.

My mom had a similar bug in November. She only v* one time but she said the one thing she wanted the minute she felt better was a McDonald's McDouble.
    Must hit the spot!

My dad is an alcoholic and around 14 hours after he stopped v-ing with noro, he started drinking heavily. It didn't irritate his stomach or anything... he was completely himself again.

Men always do that. My boyfriend's always try to eat mcdonalds and such right after a stomach virus, while most girls I know take it easy a day or so. Of course, I take it easy like a whole week. lol
