Angry My Husband Has The Flu

My husband has the flu and I'm freaking out. To make matters worse it is my birthday today and I have to go to a party tomorrow. I want to cry. For one this day was supposed to be about me. No cooking, cleaning or laundry and now this day is about him. For two I think I have to cancel my own party for fear I'll get sick at my moms. I am starting to panic. We just got over the flu last month and this keeps happening to us! Right around when I have something important planned we get sick. My husband also doesn't wash his hands properly! How can I bring this up with him? I never hear the water running after he goes to the bathroom and I have a soap pump sitting by the sink that only I seem to use! I have four kids and I don't think I can do this again. I was getting so much better too Eating great and feeling like the worst of winter was finally over.

I think it's SV. He woke up v** this morning. I know we all had something like this 3 weeks ago and he didn't seem to get it so maybe it's just made it's way back to him? Not sure but trying to calm myself any way I can I guess. I was actually reading about people taking Apple Cider Vinegar with hot water and apparently it helps to ward off flus, colds etc. Maybe I'll try that.

I just went through a night of pure hell on wednesday! My daughter out of nowhere started V* at 9pm and didn't stop till 4am! I immediately took 2tblsp of Apple Cider Vinegar! I kept it up the next day (had 5tblsp total) and have continued through today. I am still pretty nervous though even though it has been 4 FULL days and she is fine now! I really do think that the ACV helped keep me well!

Unhappy Re: My Husband Has The Flu

I've been washing my hands after everything and it's now been three full days. Does anyone know when I will be in the clear? I feel like I'm sitting here waiting to get sick! This is nuts. I also washed all the sheets etc. in hot water but I alsmost freaked out when I saw my husband taking a swig of my mouthwash out of the mouthwash cap I drink from! I asked him if he's been doing that while he was sick and he said yes! He told me that since it was antibacterial mouthwash it would kill all the germs on the mouthwash cap! I think I can boil it in hot water but I'm not too sure.

Oh and the birthday party went fine. My husband sucked it up and went as he fwelt bad for ruining my birthday. He moped around and tried to cling to me and wanted me to make him soup LOL I remember when I had SV he just sat there while I changed diapers and cooked and cleaned LOL and here he was unable to function. I guess I'm stronger than I thought!

Glad to hear that your bday wasn't totally ruined!

I usually find that 48hours is about the right time line. When I have ever caught it from someone (that I knew about) it was about 33-35 hours. I would say u were in the clear! And, happy birthday!
That, which does not kill us, makes us stronger!
