Default He kicked muddy snow into my mouth!

Help I was walking with my boyfriend and he saw a chunk of old snow on the ground and kicked it really hard and a really big piece went flying into my mouth. There's a stomach bug going around campus and this was on one of the main walkways for campus. I'm TERRIFIED that there might have been something that would make me sick on that. It was on the GROUND. It's basically the equivalent of licking the sidewalk. HELP!

I'm sure you must have spit it out and then continually spit or rinsed your mouth out. Since it was such a small piece, I'd assume that nothing is going to happen.

As long as you didn't swallow it, you should be fine. Even if you did swallow it, there's no proof that the snow was infected with anything other than dirt.

I'm fairly certain you'll be fine. Someone with the stomach virus you're worried about would have had to vomit or poo on that very piece of snow that went into your mouth.

Also, I live in a big city and see people picking up cigarette butts off the sidewalk (ew!) and smoke them. Apparently it doesn't make them sick because the same people keep doing it.

You should be okay. Try to relax and not make yourself sick with fear. It's done, right? You can't unswallow it. So worrying yourself sick over it won't change anything.

While gross, it is very unlikely to make you sick, and if anything, it'll give your immune system a little something to do so it will be stronger the next time a bug DOES come around!

Yeah, that won't do anything. Don't stress yourself out.
