Feel really stupid

I went out to eat today which i havent done in such a long time because of this phobia and i went to the bathroom to wash my hands but before i did i was playing with my phone. when i went to sit down at the table without knowing i touched my phone again which is covered in germs from school and the bathroom and then i ate..ugh now all i can think about is how stupid i am and im practically counting down the hours until i get sick. this is how bad my phobia is..

I do this all the time... believe me. I go to lunch I get my food I wash my hands or sanatize before eating by the middle of eating I'm fiddling with my phone that I know is covered with germs and I keep eating and don't realize it until later... and the good news is I haven't gotten sick from it so I doubt you will. I wouldn't advise always taking that chance and from time to time I use lysol wipes on my phone but I try to be cautious and not play with it too much while eating but it happens and I haven't been sick...I don't think you will get sick either.

I worked at a retail parts and service department for RVs. People came in and touched everything in the store with thier dirty hands. I've actually had people try to hand me thier used toilet parts, gross! It was a very busy store I ate when I had a second. I rarely had time to wash my hands before eating. Often times food would sit on my desk for long periods of time. I worked there for five years. I never got sick once. Maybe our bodies need to be exposed to some bacterias to become immune from them. In case you were wondering, I would NEVER touch a used potty part, that's why I had men working there! Relax and enjoy your meals even if you forgot to wash once in a while.

I do the same things...and it makes me feel crazy after awhile... I usually spray my phone with Lysol before I go out and after I get home. I am sure you will be fine!
I think we can drive ourselves nuts with this.
