Default Flying to Boston tomorrow. Scared : /

Tomorrow I'm going to Boston. The flight from where I live is 4 hours. I always get really nervous before I get on a plane. I'm so scared to be sick on the plane, or in the airport. It's really scaring me. I'm already anxious, and my hands sweat just thinking about it. I have my motion sickness pills, but I'm scared that by me being anxious about being sick, I'll make myself sick. I'm really narvous, I don't know what to do. I'm really excited to go, I just hate flying. Does anyone know what I could do to help with the anxiety? Oh, and take off is the worst part for me. I hate the weightless feeling : /

Have you ever seen the movie "French Kiss"? It's a total chick flick. The protagonist (Meg Ryan) is terrified of flying, but she takes a flight to Paris anyway. The man sitting in the seat next to her notices she's scared and starts an argument with her, which distracts her. Before she knows it, she's in the air. The point is: distraction! Do you have a handheld gaming system like a DS? Can you play games on your cell phone? Do you have an iPod? You can download soothing songs or guided imagery sessions so you can zone out. Read an absorbing book. Take your laptop and play games or watch your favorite movie. Just get into a good head space and you'll be there in no time. Keep telling yourself that you're okay. You know it's extremely unlikely that you'll get sick. Best of luck!
