This may be weird, but I was at a restaurant and I ate salad from the salad bar, and there was a fly on the food. Now I'm scared that its contaminated and it will make me sick?
Also...I started thinking, how long has the salad been out? Will I get food poisoning?

You'll be absolutely fine I promise. Think about food at the fair that has flies all over it! I just don't think about it. But you're not contaminated from that I swear. And as for food poisoning, if the salad dressing was warm and didn't taste good you'd know if it was bad. You wouldn't be able to swallow it its so disgusting. You didn't even mention if you did eat dressing on it. But usually restaurants have to be okay, because health inspectors come in periodically the fly is actually a big suprise. I'm not worried whatsoever. Oh and a week ago I ordered a chili dog from sonic and left a third of it out for an hour and came back and ate it and never got sick! We emets just over analyze simple normal things people do everyday.
