Hi there folks .. new here and just had to stop by and speak of my last few days,
I am the manager of a restaurant here in town. Twice in the last 5 days (5 times in the last year!) a child has V*ed in the restaurant. Of course, me being the manager, the customers usually come to me and say "My child has been s* can you get someone to come clean it up" which literally makes me freeze in my tracks. I literally cannot do anything but dispatch someone else to the area while running to the back. (Of course I can usually muster enough strength to tell them to wear gloves and use BLEACH while I'm running away). The time before tonight I went into our walk in cooler and cried..like a baby and almost hyperventilated. And then had to LEAVE my work!
What makes it so bad is that I am supposed to be running the ship, and here I am CRYING and shaking and HIDING in the back. And when I finally do come out from hiding, my staff is making fun of me making gagging noises and whatnot.
But the bright light at the end of the tunnel, and what made tonight different than last Sunday was that I found a website (I've been coming to this one for a while and never registered) that REALLY made me feel so much better about SVs. I will probably never stop acting the way I do about this subject, but this did help me out immensely and I wanted to share it with you all.
I can't post links in my posts but go to www . emetophobia.org / norovirus / html. Without the spaces.
