These are some things I find myself doing in a state of panic, somehow thinking they'll prevent me from feeling worse or actually becoming ill.

- Seeking ICE COLD anything (sticking head in freezer, pouring cold water on my self, splashing face w/ cold water, cold shower, etc.)
- Taking extremely deep breaths.
- Chewing cold cloths.
- Biting things/chewing anything.
- Taking back roads everywhere, avoiding highways.
- Taking anti-emetic pills.
- Fiddling with things in my purse, trying to distract myself with something.
- Using an inhaler.

I'm sure there are more, but that's just a few.
