Went shopping today and my mom wanted to eat at this fancy restaurant. I ordered a coconut cream pie to go after I ate. I tasted the crust and it was soggy and tasted awful. I had my mom taste it and she said it wasnt the best taste crust but it isn't spoiled. I scraped off the merangue and just ate the coconut cream part and left the crust behind also. BUt I'm petrified that this pie was bad. Its been 30 minutes since I ate and I'm extremely bloated in my stomach now and I have gas bubbles in my intestines. Ugh. I'm so scared that it was spoiled and now I have food poisoning!!! I shouldnt have eaten it. It tasted okay--except for the crust. I'm so scared.

It's been like 2 hours since I sent the above to another emet list. Now I'm all gassy and feel like I'm gonna have to crap. ANd I'm afraid it'll be D. Im kinda nauseous too. Oh gosh. But I have an appetite--so does that mean I dont have food poisoning. Its been 2hrs since I ate it would I be sick by now? UGGHHH! Help!

Food poisining takes longer than two hours to make oyu sick...i really
wouldnt worry about getting food poisining form pie...its more
common in unproperly cooked food such as meat...so try not to
worry maybe you ate too much dont worry the chances that u have
    food poisining are VERY unlikely

your mom had a bite of the crust as well right? so she had as much of it as you? Is she OK? You didnt' eat the merenge part either right? That's the part w/ the egg in it, you didnt' have enough crust it was probably just soggy from the pie filling and the coconut part I don't know what would be in it to make you sick. It's probably coincidence that you haev the gassy stomach. Sometiems when I get like you are feeling now and so worried I have to ask myself "if I didn't eat ____ and felt like this would I be so worried?" usually the answer is no. So if this hadn't happened and you felt like you have been do you think you'd worry as much? Rememebr that your nerves can make you nauseous too as well as concentrating on possibly having food poisoning.

How long has it been total sinc eyou ate it? I really truly think you will be OK but I also know how you are feeling right now and its so hard to think positively. Do you have anything you could do to occupy yourself maybe? Let us know how your'e feeling!

I highly doubt it was food poisioning. Food poisioning can happen very quickly, my sister, and my friend both were sick within a half and hour. I think you are letting your mind telling your stomach that you are sick. I do it all the time. I have completely stopped eating out. If your mom is fine, then you are fine. I hope you are doing well, let us know.

I've been thinking of you and wondering how you were doing! I don't think you have food poisoning. There's really nothing in the crust part that would cause food poisoning. I think you worrying about this is making you feel nauseated and bloated... the mind is VERY powerful. Try not to let it trick you into thinking you're sick. Just try and relax and listen to your body and what it's telling you. Let us know how you're doing.

I don't think you have food poisoning. I think maybe you are working yourself up into a frenzy, and your anxiety is making you feel sick, because your subconcious believes you are!!!

You need to relax and shut your eyes, and tell that subconcious part of your mind, to stop fu**in' with you. YOU are in control here. Don't let this emet win you over. I too thought I ate something bad tonight, but shrugged it off. I had bought some Valentine's chocolates on clearance (LOL) tonight since they were so cheap. I am PMS'ing really bad and opened one box up and took a bite out of every one of them to see which ones were the best...LOL! (do any of you do that with chocolates...hehe) Then I opened up this wierd (off name) box of chocolates, that were Bovarian???? ICK, ICK, ICK!!!! I took one bite of one, and it tasted SPOILED!! I dunno, maybe that kind of candy is supposed to taste spoiled?? NASTY! I told my hubby to taste it to see if it tasted bad, and he ate the whole damn thing like it was nothing!! (mmmmm good he said!)

Anyways, if your pie didn't "taste" bad, it wasn't spoiled. If the crust was soggy, it was because of the condensation from taking it out of the freezer/fridge. You will be fine!!

Your cramping and pooping is from BIG TIME WORRYING!!!!! Try not to worry anymore. Just relax! There is no way you would have had an appetite either if you had food poisoning. Your stomach would have "shut down".

How are you doing now?? I hope you are doing better!!! Try and relax...you will be fine!! Charlotte
