Calm down...you are ok. You need to take a medication that helps reduce acid. Do you have any tums or rolaids?? Maybe even pepto? I know that those meds are great for acid indigestion and heartburn. Gaviscon is good too, but it foams in your mouth..YUK!

What could be causing this? Did you eat something spicy? Hope you feel better soon. This does not sound like any stomach bug though, so I think you are ok there! Charlotte

Hun, please do not worry yourself it will make acid production worse. You are most likely having heartburn, that is what is causing the chest pain. Have some milk or some Rolaids and try not to panic... this way you will feel better. Oh, and do not lie down, try to sit up as much as possible. Hope you feel better.

That is definitely acid reflux--I have it, too. Buy some acid reducer--Pepcid, Prilosec, Zantac, Tagamet. If you have insurance, go to your dr. they will probably give you an even better prescription!!
