I know this is probably mean of me to say, and I should deal with what i read and try to be happy for this person who v* with the flu, but...

Everyone is geting the flu-flu, at me work. I was not that concered about it cause people dont typicaly v* with the flu. But someone on this site had it for about a few days, and V* like 3 days into it. The only thing that was keeping me from freaking out was knowing that you dont V* with that flu. Now I feel like I am falling a part. Sometimes I feel like this site is bad for me, and I am so much worse today than I was before. Sometimes I just cant cope. It is one more virus to worry about getting. I want to cry and I am stuck at work with a bunch of people with the flu

Stop worrying. You never know what precipates v**** in someone
else. You are right about the flu-flu. Here is why some
people will v****:

- medicines they take for the flu can cause V**** in some people

- over eating while having a high fever

- eating dairy with a high fever

- coughing
(the medulla oblongat in the brain controls v*** and coughing)

some people cough so much they get sick and v***

These are just to name a few - enough to ease your mind should you get the respiratory flu.

Stella is right. I had a friend in High School who would get sick EVERY time she had bronchitis but then no one else I've ever known has been sick from bronchitis so it's just dependant on the person and outside influences. Also, last time you had the flu-flu did you get sick? Probably not so logically there is not a reason for you should you get the flu this time. I do understand the fear tho, my sinuses have been psychotic all weekend and today and I keep worrying what if what if so I do know how hard logic is when youre' scared but I really do think you're gonna be OK.

i'm so sorry
you were worried and so glad you got on to tell us about it! yes,
only under special circumstances like the ones listed above will
someone v* from the respiratory flu. if you should happen to get
influenza, just take good care of yourself and you will be fine! </span>

I totally agree. everyone is different. right now i know 2 people with influenza and one of them is nausiated a little (on day 3) and the other (who seems to be much more sick from it, as far as achy and stuff) hasn't felt sick that way at all. just lack of appetite. i get nausiated all the time because i have crappy sinuses, so somepeople when they get mucousy just get nausiated. i wouldn't worry too much, i think we will all be alright.

I know what you mean about sometimes this site can make you worse. What I do is avoid the posts that I know will upset me, like the posts that give all of the info on norwalk and stuff FREAK ME OUT! so when I see that kind of post, I stop reading. Sometimes I find itgood to stay away from this site for a little while when I feel like it's making me worse. Just try to think positive, and try not to worry about it too much
