Hey guys.
I thought it would be a good idea for us to share our little perks, that help us deal with our own anxieties and fear of emet. It may help us help others and others help us.
Some I like to use are *pinching* this is helpful I feel as it directs your focus from nausea, anxiety etc and puts it on the pain from the pinch. Im not saying to start self harming, but a wee harmless nip can help divert our attention.
Another I like is to walk and count the steps. Find a nice quiet spot that is good for relaxing walks. And set yourself a goal by counting how many steps you take, aim for somewhere around 5000. A) it gives your mind targets to focus on and B) It will take a while to walk that amount of steps, using anxious energy in a physical way.
Save up your loose change in a jar and fill it whenever you empty your pockets. When having a bad day of anxiety, get the jar out separate the change into bags and count it out. A) it helps distract the mind and B) You will end up making some decent money, which will release feel good chemicals.
