Just need to vent

I'm not as freaked out as I usually am. But I do have good reason to be freaked out because I did an idiotic thing today. Ok here goes... So I'm going out of town this weekend so we all know how that goes over with us. I will be in the car for aprox 4hrs. I don't like the idea but it's our yearly family trip. So back to me being an idiot. I have been doing all I can to keep my house clean and make sure we are all healthy. So I go to an orientation today, around 12:30 I got hungry. So what did I do? I ate a sandwich from the platter. When I got to my last bite I began to freak out. I realized I have not washed my hands, then the wondering if the platter was covered and if anyone could have been I'll there. You know. All the usual. So yeah freaked out. Dreading this trip completely.

Dont worry too much. I eat all the time without washing my hands first. I have NEVER gotten sick from it. Try to relax and and enjoy your trip.

Try not to worry. Most people do this on a daily basis and they're not always sick. I'm sure you'll be alright. Enjoy your trip!

i agree with theothers.......try not to worry about it. i'm really bad about hand washing.......i work cleaning really nasty apartments after college students move out.....you wouldn't believe some of the stuff i have to touch in bathrooms, kitchens, etc. i take smoke breaks....dont wash my hands........eat a bag of chips....dont wash my hands......i'm ok with it......sometimes it hits me just how disgusting this really is........but doesn't bother me enough to start washing my hands more....lol
