Yaay I very well may become employed! I just have to call the place back. Man I am nervous tho! All those questions of will I be able to do it right and handle it okay, and what if I feel sick and such. I know many of you on here work, so I can do it too, its just those anxieties come up.

I find it better to work than not to work. If I'm sitting at home with nothing positive to do then I find that I spend too much time worrying about stuff. Sure, sometimes people get s* at work or I feel s* at work but it's rare and if you're lucky enough to make new friends where you work then you can enjoy yourself a bit more and you will worry less... that's how it is for me anyway.

    Good luck with the job.

What kind of job are you interviewing for? Hope it works out. I also find it better to work. It gets your mind off of things!

    Congratulations!

I just wanted to add that my therapist and I spoke about this when I really was at the point that I didn't want to leave the house. She said that the more you don't get out and work and do things, the more you're going to fear emet. Going to work makes the point to our minds that going out is ok, it won't hurt us. So don't worry about people at work being sick, it happens so little. Have fun having a new job and getting some spending cash!!!!Edited by: 2jo2

Thank you all! It is a cashier job, which I see as good because it gets my foot in the door working at stores. Everyone can use cashiers right? I know the instances of emet will prolly be few, and yes work can help to not dwell on it. I know at my last jobs, I did have some struggle tho because I recently was diagnosed with IBS then, and that added to emet, not fun! I think tho I have a better handle on it now. I also look forward to having some spending money!
