Hello Everyone!
how are you all? I just thought id pop in and see how ur all doing....it seems everyone is leavong tho but good reasons why. And a main reason why i haven been round much.

So ive completed nearly 50 days of the effexor withdrawal plan. i can nearly go two days with no effeor and have had NO withdrawal symptoms!!! SO thats god news.

BUT i have been having feelings of panic lately - and ive been really snappy and short tempered

anyways, hope ur all good and not letting emet run u down....

    Hey Ems!

Good to hear that your doing good! Im happy for you that you havent had withdrawl symptoms, is effexor a drug to regulate chemicals in the brain, or is it something to do with emet?

    Glad your doing so well!

i've got offers from all 6 of my uni's.... but the problem is, i hve no idea if i'm taking my A levels.,and if i do, if i'll get the grades needed e.t.c.!

so its a bit of a waste really. but as u said, i can defer my entry.

I agree with Em Jenneh, you sound like a very smart girl, and that is wonderful that you got offers from all 6 of the universities you applied to! I also agree that it is good to focus on getting yourself better, and that you can always go back.

That's great that you didn't have any withdrawls from the meds! It sux that you're anxious now but it's probably just your body adjusting itself now that the meds arent doing it for you. You sound like you are doing really well which is EXCELLENT!

Jenneh, YAY! All 6 is wonderful!

Hey SimplyMe! good to hear from you - hope ur doing ok too...? yes - things have been going well ref the meds...so fingers crossed for the last 20 days now!

Beth - i know...ive been reading some of the posts and it really saddens me (and also P****s me off somewhat!!) - but hey, as long as the majority of us keep supporting each other and using the forums as its meant, then theres no need to even focus on these threads!

Hope ur ok too...? Emet and life going well?

have made a decision that i'm actually deferring my entry... taking a year out to get a job, some work experience, intense therapy, learning to drive e.t.c so im properly prepared for uni... think its the right decision! i hope!

Jen - it sounds like a really sensible decision to me! i think its great that you have made that decision! I think getting urself healthy and back to 'normal' (or some sort of nrmality ref emet) should be one of ur main priorities right now.

Uni can wait sweetie - but ur health cant.

    *hugs*

I can't really afford a proper uni, but there is a local college here which do the degree I want to do, and it works out cheaper if I get a one-bedroomed flat and do the degree there, plus I know I can secure jobs here, and I don't like change too much..

I'm also scared of the whole college dorm thing, hearing people v* in the night, catching things etc etc.. In my own flat i'll be in control *thank god*

Saying that i'll probably end up going to the Uni of Norwich or Colchester though lol..

Saying that in a few years the Uni will be built in Ipswich (20 min drive from here) so I may go there..

I'll be studying Business! The joy

Oohh and where about in the UK are u emz? I'm in Felixstowe, the seaside town of Suffolk, apparently lol..

ooohh I don't know, the thought still scares the sh*t out of me lol!

I didn't think anyone actually did languages at Uni, well done! lol can't beleive that, you must have brains of steel lol

I'd still love to live on my own, but I guess I would miss out alot.. I just couldnt cope sharing a room with someone, I'd creep out - if they said they even felt slightly ill i'd freak out and go home or run away or something..

Thats what happened at Glastonbury.. although I saw no-one v* this one guy was coughing all night, I couldn't get an inch of sleep and had to get the bus back home, I was gutted

Oh well, life goes oh, eh? lol!

    Jackie,

when i stayed in halls i had my OWN room and OWN bathroom. I had a doctors note and so they took this into consideration when i applied for my place in halls. Hoenstly, i had such a wicked time in halls. made soooo many friends and just had so much fun! all my other friends who didnt go to halls really regretted it when they visited me!! so i really really recommend halls - but just do whats best for u babe! whatever will make u happy.

yeah not many people study languages - and god no im stupid really! and since ive been working - i only use technology type words in german!! its wierd!

I'm glad to hear how much you loved uni, is there maybe another course you could consider doing, maybe a part time one?

I hope that you'll get off the effexor smoothly, it will be a long bumpy road but one day you'll look back and think "well that wansn't too bad, why did I worry so much"..

Again I am limited to small responses as I have an 18th birthday gathering to go to, busy busy busy at the moment..

I hope you, and everyone else are OK and best wishes for the weekend
