I went to a LARGE event yesterday at this opera house type place, which was packed shoulder-to-shoulder with over 500 people. I had to sit RIGHT NEXT to a bunch of kids. So, of course, I'm nervous about catching IT. No, no one v'ed, and no one really was even COUGHING! Suprising for winter, huh? I touched my face a couple times, and did not use hand sanitizer because my parents refuse ot buy any (they claim it doesn't work) and so now I don't feel great and am scared. I was eating breakfast and felt randomly n*...omg...it would be like right on the 12 hour mark since I went there! Do you think I could've caught it without anyone being sick and not sitting next to sick people? I don't think I actually TOUCHED anyone (shook one person's hand, but she was totally healthy) and no one breathed on me or anything. UGGGH....I KNEW I would make myself ill over going to that! And to think, I went because I WON AN AWARD!!!! GRRR...evil emet!!

I am sure you are fine. Could you be overtired from the big events of the weekend? I know that happens to me. I get nausiated from just having too much excitement or not getting enough sleep. I also get nausiated sometimes when I wake up on too much of any empty stomach. I am sure that you are fine. Just focus on relaxing and try really hard to distract yourself when you start to think you feel nausiated.

That is awesome that you won an award!!!!

Honestly, I think it was because of the crappy breakfast I ate. I was REALLY hungry, so I went for something really junky to eat. I think maybe it's my bloodsugar or something...

I doubt that you have anything to worry about since no one was actually sick around you, but I would probably be nervous too after being around all those people! Is there any possible way you could buy your own hand sanitizer or have someone else besides your parents buy it? I'm not sure how old you are or if you get an allowance.

I'm almost 16. I have a couple sources of money- probably I could go to the grocery store to get lunch sometime and just buy some and put it right into my purse, but I hate being sneaky and I doubt they wouldn't notice me using it!

Thanks all- I'm feeling a lot better now- it was probably just nerves and gas as usual. In fact, I'm eating as I type...lol. Love your avatar, Jackie, do you have a black cat? I do- they're the best!
