....no "but"s... anything negative should be under a new thread.</span><br style="font-weight: bold;">
This is a topic where we can think positive</font>, and share why IES is important to us, why we value the relationships we've made in this community, etc.</span>

i Love that although I'm a bit of a weirdo, I don't have to be a lonely one anymore.

i Love that this site gives me an opportunity to perhaps console
someone, who's going through the same bad situations I've been thru
    throughout my life.

i love that we can have supportive relationships with people of all
ages, because we are united by something that we have faith can be
    changed

    Why do you Love IES?</font>

Good idea with this thread! I do appreciate why some people feel they need to leave IES - each of us has to decide for ourselves what will work. However, as a mother and an emet, I find this sight to be very comforting. I like knowing that there are others out there who are experiencing the same thing, and I like knowing that you all will have a sympathetic ear when I have to nurse a sick child through a stomach virus.I also like to get feedback fromotherparent/emets on how they cope and how to raise a non-emet child. I think this phobia is different than other phobias because it is darn near impossible to avoid the thing we are afraid of(especially if you have young kids). It helps me to talk.

No doubt, the discussions on this site could aggravate the phobia for some, but I am just glad I am not alone.

I love the friends I have made! I especially love that if I feel sick or scared at any hour, I can turn on my computer and find a friend from IES online and willing to chat with me! I also love being able to help others that way as well. And, finally, I love that I have actually met quite a few people from this site and now consider them good friends!! It's great!!

i love ies b/c i can get on here and talk aobut my totally WEIRD thoughts and behaviors, and all the sudden they're not so weird anymore, b/c you guys experience them too. it's very valuable to me to identify with others here. I love that.

I also am sooo greatful for the times i've woke up in the middle of the night in a panic, and people lent their hand to me and prayed for me. That is such a blessing. I mean, if you think about it, what gesture is more caring and personal then prayer? Thanks to all who are here and listen, and pray

Let's move this topic back up to the top...

I love IES because everyone here understands what feelings you're having and why when nobody else does. Also, when you're going through something, whether it's emet related or not, you can almost always find someone else who's gone through the same and got through it OK.

I love this site because NOBODY else can possibly understand what we feel everyday and it is nice to know that there are others out there who can relate without critisicim.

Sorry for bringing up an older topic. Ive only been here for 2 days and
I love it cause its easy to talk to someone hwen they truly understand
what you are going through. Parents and doctors all say its stupid and
you will get over it, people laugh and just dont understand. I cannot
beleive it took me so long to find this place.

I've had Emetophobia all my life it's just recently gotten to the point where I can BARELY function. I love this site because it makes me feel good to know that I'm not alone. I like this site because it's given me LOTS of helpful information on the phobia and Ideas on how to treat it. I even sent the information to my Therapist! I love this place!

I love this place because everyone of us knows what we are all going through. There is always someone here with comforting and encouraging words when the rest of the world is telling us to get over it.I get really sad when people get upset by this site and leave (even though I understand they do it for their self growth) because I feel we all benefit from one another in some way.
