that certain english major will have to help me learn how to spell triumph

well! I went to florida! on a plane! my first time ever. I was scared, but I went. I took a gravol just in case but there is no way I would have needed it. i stayed at my cousins house in Tampa for a week and we went to universal studios ( another word I can't spell).

all i can say is wow. I went on 11 rides! my cousin sneeked us in a whole bunch of places cause he's been there 100 times and knows all the short cuts and tricks of not waiting. I was so scared I was going to V on the rides but i was fine... except I didn't do well on one ride- the back to the future ride! has anoyone been on that? my god, it was awful. I had to sit still, close my eyes, and pretend to be somewhere else untill it was over.

they put you in a time car and simulate you flying through the future. the combo of the swaying, jolting, and big screen diziness was NOT good. I recommed emets stay away! it even bothered my best friend, whos not emet at all.

I LOVED the mummy ride. it was my favorite! so much fun.

has anyone been there who would like to comment to the rides they went on?

the ones I can remember are :shrek, the mummy, back to the future, men in black, Terminator, jimmy neutron, ET, jaws, twister, earthquake, and a few more.

anyways, i feel really good about going. I did see a pile of puke, and I didnt even care. I went to eat right afterwards, lol. Now If i had seen it happening, thats a different story.

I also got a henna tattoo of a lizard which is pretty cool, and lasts 3 weeks.( i recommend this to the girl who was afraid of tattoos, who was that again?)anyways, I wanna hear about other experiences!

shrek is basically a 3d movie where they give you those big glasses and squirt you with water during water scenes. Its really cute and not at all scarey.

I kept seeing "do not ride if you suffer from motion sickness" signs on everything and it made me a wreck, but most of the rides were fine, and no one got ill on them.

shrek was most deffintily okay for any emet and funny. no rollar coaster involved, don't worry.

I went to Universal Studios in Orlando about 5 years ago. You're exactly right about the Back to the Future Ride! I had been on simulators at other parks which didn't bother me, but that ride was terrible. I kept my eyes closed the entire time because every time I would open them, I would get dizzy. I didn't feel that great after getting off the ride either. It seemed like it lasted forever, too!

I enjoyed Twister and Earthquake. The only other ones I remember riding were Jaws and King Kong. We may have rode more, but I can't really remember that well. It was a lot of fun though.

You did well-airplanes and amusement parks-usually an emet's worst nightmare! If I had seen *v*, I would not have been able to eat the rest of the day!

Yay, I love Universal Studios! It's my favorite amusement park! I agree with you on the Back to the Future ride too, I mostly closed my eyes on that one. Men in Black was awesome, our car won! Jaws was cool. I really liked Twister and Earthquake too. Terminator 3D was fun to watch. I didn't see Shrek, ET, or Jimmy Neutron (my boyfriend said they were too childish )When I went last year they were still building The Mummy ride, but I'm going back this year, and it looks pretty scarey, I'm not sure that I want to go on it, but according to your review, maybe I should try it. Did you go next door to Islands of Adventure? Thats where all the rollercoasters are. The plane rides don't bother me at all, at first I thought they would, but then once I was up in the air, I had no problems, except for the fear of someone else in the plane vomiting.

Way to go babydoll. I went there years ago, they didn't have the rides that you went on. I remember one rideI think it was called Its a Small World, you go through and all you seeare different dolls dressed like the country they are representing, that was the best. I am glad you went!

    Ontariogirl,

That sounds like Disney World you went to instead of Universal Studios if you rode It's a Small World. I've been to Disney 8 times, so I know those rides REALLY well! I have been trying to talk my husband into going back soon. We went there on our honeymoon and I made him promise to take me back before we have kids!

it was my first time flying, but the plane was really fun. I loved the take off, its like your on a ride at the fair. I asn't so crazy about the landing, it made me really light headed, but it was okay. we had TV on the planes, tea, and small snacks. they had headphones for music and all kinds of cool stuff. ( i was on air canada, delta coming back)

I flew from nova scotia to toronto, to tampa. then on the way back, from tampa, to boston, to Halifax. Something I'l never forget. turbulance feels kind of wierd, and kind of bothered me a tiny bit, but just cause I wasn't used to it.

being on the top of the clouds is the most free feeling I've ever had.I hope you'll love it. I had so much fun and I can't wait to do it again someday.

sometimes my emet holds me back, but this time I said, I have to live life and get out of my black box for a week. I hope you have alot of fun when you go! let me know how you make out, redapple! and take LOTS of pictures!

Back in September my fiance and I took my daughter out to L.A. (we both have family there) My aunt works for Disney, so it was pretty neat, she and her daughter took my daughter and I to Disney Land and they have a space ride thingy that simulates flying through space also. Yes, you are sooo right. Not good! I closed my eyes! My daughter loved it! I can't remember any names of rides we went on really, but as we were about to load on a rollercoaster (a small one), there was a kid in line being sick and I saw him! Talk about freaking out! Then when we got off the ride, I saw him doing it again! That was crazy! I went running away and was embarrased when I had to explain to my aunt about my phobia, but she was really understanding.

Anyway.. I guess what I really meant to say was that is sooo cool that you went and had a good time. It's great when that happens because it reinforces in us that we really can live our lives and not have to be afraid all of the time. Even when I went and saw the kid being sick, everything was okay. I wouldn't take the experience away (the vacation) for anything!

I would love to have a family member work for Disney!!! If I saw a kid being sick it would freak me out and I would probably have to go somewhere to settle myself down. Wow shiva, you just went on with your day, so cool.
