Default Resources to help get over Emet

I posted this in the general forum.. but I thought maybe some of you who have recovered or made it through might have some ideas...

Are there any free resources/videos or anything out there that might help overcome this fear? I hate how bad it's gotten this year and I am desperate to get some help. Insurance doesn't really cover counseling and we can't afford it with a baby on the way. But I am desperate and I want to do something about it.. I'm sick of it taking over my life. So I was wondering if there is anything out there that might help at all?

I really want to do this..badly.

Hello, there are a couple of things you can do.

Firstly, have you looked at Sage's site? I think the link is at the bottom of all her posts and it is intended precisely as a free resource for this phobia. Something else (although it would cost a few pounds!) is The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook by Edmund Bourne from Amazon. I've read it and it has lots of very good advice on how phobias and anxieties develop and suggestions for how to counter them.

Finally, there is a lot of good advice on this site if you know where to look. A lot of the threads on the Triumphs and Treatments forums are worth reading as these are written by people who have either recovered or are at least having treatment, so you're getting advice straight from the horse's mouth.

There are plenty to choose from, but here's a link to one that I always liked that I think has dropped off the page of the Triumphs as it was a few months ago. Hope all this helps!

I have looked at her site..I just don't know where to begin. Thanks for sharing that thread.. Itw as helpful! I decided to go for an intake this afternoon and start some counseling! I have to do something. I'm not a severe case quite yet.. but I want to stop it before it gets there. I feel myself inching that way! I've been way worse since being pregnant.
