    Hey all...

Let me begin by saying that its so good to know that there are others out there like myself. I definitely feel less alone.

For the past few days, I've been running a low grade fever and
generally feeling poorly. I'm very afraid of v*ing. If I
was to take Dramamine, would that prevent me from v*ing?

Thanks so much for your replies.

I have often wondered that, too. I can never quite find out what the answer is, though. I would say it is worth a shot

I thought Dramamine was for motion sickness, but I am not really sure. It wouldn't hurt to try it though. Another drug that I have used for nausea that is over the counter is Benadryl. Even though it doesn't say anywhere on the box it can be used for anti-nausea. The drug in Benadryl is an anti-emetic, so it will help, and it will make you drowsy though. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. How are you feeling today?

I'm feeling a little bit better. Not coughing as much, but I
think that I still have a fever which is concerning me. Thanks so
much for your reply. I really appreciate it. Have a great
    day

I never knew that about Benadryl, thats cool. I guess you do learn something new everyday.

Benadryl and Dramamine are in the same class of meds, and yes, they both work! You have to get the drowsy dramamine though, not the non-drowsy, that's a different med and not as effective.

Hope you feel better soon! The crud has been going around. I've had a head cold for 2 weeks and have a yucky tummy in the mornings from all the stuff draining from my sinuses into my stomach. Dry toast and flat Coke seem to work for me.

I had no idea that Benadryl does that to until Debbie told me! No wonder I switched to non drowsy formula for my son, it always made him tired!!
