Question kinda OT, anyone here into anime/cosplay?

I am lol, but i was wondering if anyone else who has emet and same intrests has been to a convention and how to deal with emet while at the con.

I cosplay at cons and sometimes stress about trying to keep my costume perfect or even manuvering around in it with a sea of people around you. I've never really felt particularly panicky about any of it before, other than just needing to take a break and eat something, but sometimes i feel like i slow my group down due to my emet ): Another thing is the food itself, since cons typically dont have places within the facility to eat and i dont like eating out so finding something to eat can be hard for me. Before i would just buy something from subway, but i dont even eat there anymore.
Hopefully we'll rent a hotel room at the con this year, that way i can bring my own foods and stuff.

Anyways yeah lol, just curious to see if there was anyone else out there like me, and if emet gets in the way of having fun.

I've gone to a few different kinds of cons, Anime Boston being one I attended a few years when I was in high school. I have cosplayed as well, so I totally know what you mean about wanting to keep your costume pristine!

I have to say that a hotel room is a must! It makes it so much easier to have a place to eat, as well as to wash up, and to get out of your outfit for a while if you have to! If you're attending a larger con, some of them even stream the events to the hotel TV, so you can watch stuff while you're resting!

Since you've been to cons before, I'm sure you've heard of "con crud," the generic term for catching something somebody has brought in. It seems that fandoms attract some sick people (in more ways than one, so it seems!) and they don't always stay inside when they should. Just make sure to keep up your good hygiene and you should be fine. Wash your hands before you eat, try not to touch your face, etc. I have never gotten any con crud, and I've gone to many over the past 8 years. Hopefully that helps a bit!

Ive never heard of 'con crud' but i have heard of 'con funk' where you get stinky people who dont shower for a couple of days, yuck lol. I go to Fanime (med-large sized con) and have had all positive times there. This year i plan on staying mostly outside since my costume is more elaborate so walking around with large props and spikes on my knees in a crowd sounds kinda dangerous lol. Thanks for the advice! ^^

Yeah, con funk is something I've found to be worst at anime conventions, I will give you guys that :P
