I'm not a student anymore, but I definitely was an emet while I was a student. It all began for me in first grade - I think I missed half of my second grade and third grade years! I actually had a teacher in third grade that was wonderful. She helped me somehow get over it for a while, until I started high school and then it came back. But my college years were absolutely horrible for my emet!

baseballplaya12 - My reason for college being bad was also linked to my IBS. I worked full time and went to school full time. I hardly had time to eat which, of course, caused my stomach to be unhappy all of the time. Eventually, the lack of eating caused my IBS, then I would stres about my stomach hurting from the IBS which would make me nauseous, hence makin gemet worse.

College doesn't have to be bad - remember, the majority of v* that happens in college is alcohol based. My advise is just to make sure you get enough sleep and eat right. Make sure you have time for fun too! Honestly, I rarely remember hearing about sv's in college. I think it's because college students will ditch for just about anything, so if they are feeling under the weather, they will just stay home and then they don't spread anything around.

Im at university, its my 3rd and final year, i leave in 8 weeks and i really do not want to leave. For anyone who is worried about going to uni/college please dont worry. I have lived in halls of residence for 3 years and so far have never heard of a stomach bug going around (i hope i havent jinxed it now). Like someone else said, students tend to be a bit wimpish and if they feel anything less than 110% stay in bed, loads of my friends miss classes just because they are tired. Plus if someone does get ill it tends to spread less in adults because we don't constantly suck everything in sight. Most of the time when people are sick its due to alcohol which doesnt bother me as i cant catch it, I even helped to clear it up from our kitchen!
