Does anyone have any experience with Percocet? I found out I have kidney stones. I actually passed one in January and one in February. They did a CT scan and found out I have about 3 or 4 more in my kidney. I had already passed the first one by the time I got the prescription, and I was too scared to take the percocet with the second one because a side effect is v*. BUt they really hurt! If I have another one, I want to be able to take the pain meds. Does anyone know how common v* is with percocet? I took it about 10 years ago when I had my wisdom teeth out and it didn't make me v*, but I don't remember what dosage it was. Can a medicine make you v* the second time you take it if it didn't the first?

I'm so sorry about your kidney stones. They sound like they really hurt . But to be honest, I would never take Percocet again. After I had a C-section, I was on morphine, which was fine, but the night they took me off it they gave me Percocet for the pain. It was one of the most awful experiences I ever had. It made me extremely nauseous, to the point where I almost v***ed, for several hours. I never did v****, but ran(well, wheeled mywheelchair)from my daughter's side in the NICU to the bathroom several times thinking I was going to. As soon as it wore off, I felt fine, but I refused Percocet during the rest of my stay. I took the hospital-strength Motrin instead, which was not as effective for the pain but took the edge off it and did not make me nauseous. I don't want to scare you, just to be honest. It may be fine for you---all people are different---but for me it really was awful. To be fair, it may have been a very high dose, but I don't know the dosage asthe pillwas given to me by a nurse. Maybe you could ask your doctor to give you the lowest dose that will still work. I hope you find something good soon . . .

I have a close family member that has a really bad addiction to Percocet. Be careful with them if you take them. She was taking them for pain.

Well, when I had my hysterectomy back in Aug. I was prescribed the Precocet to take when I got home. When I read that one of the sire effects was nausea and/or vomiting, I decided not to take it. Especially after I called my phamacist and he said that for some people it didnt matter whether you ate or not before taking it, it still made some people sick. I took Vicodin after my last two c-sections and didnt have any trouble with it though. Im funny about meds anyway, its a wonder I take the ones I do .............
