Clarithromycin and Amoxicillin

Anybody on here taken these antibiotics? My dr prescribed them for me earlier today for a suspected h pylori infection. I have to take quite a high dose of these as a combination - 500mg of clarithromycin and 1000mg of amoxicillin twice a day for 7 days. I already feel so ill but since taking my first dose about 20 minutes ago I feel worse. My dr did say they shouldnt affect my stomach and she said there was another med that I could have taken but that was known for causing stomach problems and so she didnt precribe them for me. Anybody please? Im desperate

I've taken Amoxicillin so many times! Last time was about 3 weeks back. I never had any problems with them, the only time I felt funny was when I had to mix them with Ibuprofen, they made me feel light headed, but no n* or anything else!

Just take a probiotic or eat yogurt. They can give u D* and possibly a yeast infection!

I get excruciating headaches whenever I take antibiotics, but I think that's just me. Anyway, I had to take Amoxicillin a few weeks ago and I didn't have any problems with n*

I have taken amoxicillin several times before but not such a high dose and never together with clarithromycin. Im already getting a metallic taste in my mouth after just one dose last night - which is a known side effect. I feel so rubbish Im going to persevere for now.
