I started my antibiotics for my kidney infection yesterday. So far they haven't helped at all, and to top it off I got my period today. I usually take Midol, but one thing they say to avoid with my antibiotic is caffiene, so I guess I will just take tylenol. I haven't really been able to eat anything. I have been kind of n* and I'm not sur0 eif it is from the pain, the antibiotics, my period, not eatingor my nerves. It's been about 17 hours since I took the antibiotics, so I would think if it were a side effect of them it would have happened earlier.

Sorry to complain to you guys. I have just felt so horrible for so long. Everytime I cough (still getting over my cold) it just kills my back and side. Not only am I afraid to v* now for the usual reasons, I also know it would hurt SO BAD.

How long does it take to get over kidney infections? Or at least relieve some of the pain?

When I have an kidney infection, it takes about 48 hours for antibiotics to kick in. I know the pain is bad, I really feel for you. What helps me when I have kidney pain, is putting a heating bad on my back/side. I swear this works better than any drugs!! It really works wonders for me, try it. And with you feeling nauseous, its not the drug. You are probably either hungry, or then pain is making you not feel well. Just try munching on some crackers, or have some toast. Hope you feel better.
