toilet!! When I woke up this morning I went past his room and I heard him moaning in his sleep thinking he is dreaming but than I went past his room again and he is sitting up and starting to cry a bit, I asked what is wrong? he said my stomach!! I asked do you feelsick? and he said yeah!. I said go the bathroom, I brought him some water and he is sitting beside the toilet as I type. His cheeks feel warm. Today after school he goes to his dads for the week, his father works at home so I just might have his dad come early today to get him. Does that sound mean? Here I go thinking in one way I am a terrible mother sending him and than in another way I am thinking it is Friday he goes there any ways, he loves his dad and his dad doesn't mind when he is sick. IF it wasn't Friday than I would have him here until he goes to his dads. Tyler is comfortable with his parents when he is sick so its not as if I am sending him somewhere where he doesn't like going. Do you think he could have the stomach virus? His cheeks are warm but not his forehead. He wasn't sick in the toilet, he is in his bed with the pail beside him and I put the tv on. My tv here in the living room is on and is loud just in case. I don't want to empty the pail but I have to. Oh yuck. I hate this. Debbie you always tell me that i am a calm person, not right now. I am freaking out!!!!

He is in his bed with the pail. Of course being the person who I am, going in there asking every 5 minutes how are you now? He said he feels better and asked what he can eat that is light and I said crackers and he said I will starve! He doesn't look the greatest. Oh how I hate this crap!!

I would not give Ty a thing to eat. Children often mistake nausea
as hunger. (I did not know this until my pediatrician told me several
years ago). Give him some liquids and see how he does. If
that comes up, so be it. It surely won't be as bad as food.
Also children v*** from fevers, so if he is "warm" he could v*** food
from the fever . Liquids are more likely to stay down. I
would tell Tyler this is going to be a liquid day - jello, pops,
etc. By later this afternoon, if he has not v***, you may try
some applesauce or a peice of dry toast. If he won't take dry
toast, put a small amount of jam on it (no butter).

No matter how much he protests, stick by your guns. Two years
ago, my son had a sour stomach and fever. He v**** one time with
it. Immediately his stomach felt better and he wanted food.
I refused to give him any telling him it was a liquid day. As the
day progressed he was protesting against the liquid diet. He
still had a fever and I knew that since he V*** once he was a prime
candidate for it to happen again. My husband stayed with him
while I took my daughter to a party. During my absence, which was
about six hours after the one and only V**** episode my husband gave my
son crackers, bread and applesauce. Two hours later, it all came
    up.

I believe in a liquid diet for 24 hours after the last v****
episode. Then the BRAT for a day or two and then soft foods (no
dairy) for another day or two. The only time I don't do
this after a v*** event is if they v*** because they choked on
something, laughed too hard, ran around after eating or something else
    non-sick related.

He seems to be doing better. He is saying he is hungry and he had some water. He said he is getting up to get some toast. His cheeks aren't warm anymore so maybe he was just so over hungry that he felt sick. Tyler is 12 going on 16! You know the type knows it all!!!!!

Aww, I'ms orry you both are going thru this. Sometimes people/kids/adults get a stomach ache and it goes away, something he ate yesterday could have not sat right, he could have been too hot in his sleep or a dream he doesn't remember could have affected him? It could be a lot of things and now has passed. As for sending him to his dad's there is nothing wrong w/ that. he'd be there tonight anyhow and it's also probably better for him when and if he does get sick to be w/ his dad who it doesn't bother, then he won't pick up the fear or feel guilty for freaking you out. I'm glad he's feeling better! Hope youa re too!

    Oh Rhonda,

How scary!! Logan got her kindergarten shots at the dr. on Wed. and she worked herself up over it so much that later on when we got home she said she was going to V**** and actually ran into the bathroom to do it!! Luckily, she didn't, but I was flipping out!!

Yes he is fine. I think I know what was wrong with him. Maybe he woke up over hungry and felt sick. After he ate he felt fine. I would have responded sooner but my computer was having a temper tantrum! Thanks everyone for your support.
