All right I'm going to sound like a whine butt lol

Yesterday afternoon I noticed my nose was itchy/burny and I was sneezing more than usual. Then last night I had a slight headache (sinusy feeling) and just over all kinda cold like. I also had to help my Mom pull up carpet (not the most fun I've ever had in my life) it wasn't a huge room (dining room) but I used my arm/shoulder/back muscles because the garbage won't pick it up unless it is cut and rolled a certain way. Anyhow! This morning my nose still feels the same but now I'm "achy" but I think (rationally) it's probably fromt he carpet cutting/rolling and hauling. On Sunday I helped her move a piano and was muscle achy from that, I'm nto the most physical person lol. Also my head hurt a bit more today and feels a bit congestedand my throat is kinda scratchy, had some (not much or bad) coughing blah blah. So FINALLY my question: do yout hink I'm getting a cold/flu or is it sinus? Flu scares me cuz I've heard of (via remedy books) that v* can occur w/ it even though Idon't actually know anyone who has from it. Also I don't (or at least didn't) have a fever this mronign when I took my temp. it was 98.4 my norm is under normal lol but my thermometer keeps the last temp on it when it comes on and last time I took it it was 98.7 so either way it's not a fever. AHHH I'm driving myself crazy here I hope I havent' done the same to you! Someone please just tell me to get a grip and be realistic like I can be for other people. Good grief!

It doesnt sound like the flu tome. Flu generally hits you like a Mack Truck. It sounds like a cold possibly or maybe allergies. I know tree pollen is REAL bad where I am. That could affect your sinuses.

I agree with Debbie. Maybe there was a lot of dust in the carpet which caused some allergy problems. I know that always does it to me. You don't usually run a fever with allergies, either. You may want to try some Benadryl or some Claritin OTC to see if that helps!

    Hope you feel better!

Jess-do you take or have you taken Claritin? I have run out of Allegra-D and am going crazy. I cant get to the doctor for another week...

I took Claritin when it was rx and did not care for it. I like Allergra. I might have to get some though

My mom said that Allegra was sent by God. I have tried other Allergy pills (Claritin, Zytec), but only Allegra-D works for me.

I have not tried the OTC Claritin, Debbie. I don't have a lot of problems with allergies. I actually did take the 24 hour Claritin one time for weight loss, since I heard that it kept you from being hungry. I only took it for about a week because it kept me awake all night every day that I took it. I wasn't hungry, but I wasn't sleeping either! That has been about 4 years ago and I haven't taken anything but Benadryl since!

Thanks guys. The sneezing actually started before I pulled up the carpet but I had stirred up dust a couple of days before clearing out closets. FUN FUN FUN! So, hopefully... Thanks again! I LOVE Benadryl! It knocks me out too though so for day time I have to stay away lol.

PS just took my temp again because my eyes were burning and it was 99.0 AHHH! I know I"m a nutjob. I havent' been as sneezy today though, Who knows!Edited by: SimplyMe

reactine. reactine is god-sent and the best allergy medicine out there. and it doesnt make you sleepy. and it helps so much (i mean, allergy sufferer? me?...never... *looks innocent*

but from the sounds of it, its probably allergies and exhertion. im suffering from allergies really bad right now (birch pollen just started in my area) and because your body thinks thatever is causing your allergies is an invader (and thus gives you allergy symptoms) it can also give you a low grade fever. oh the funny things our body does when it confuses harmless thigns like dust with not so harmless things like germs...

I dont know, i'm form canada. reactine is an anti-allergy medication, comes in a blue or green box depending on the strenght, is a 24 hours pill and the active ingrediant is: cetirizine. comes in 5 and 10 mg doses here in canada, it might sell under a different brand name in the states but if you check the active ingrediant in the pharmacy, you should be able to find the same thing

Ok I had noidea that Claritin can be taken for weight loss!! Benadryl helps nausea Debbie told me that! Back to the Claritin isnt there an non drowsy formula? Now I am interested about the Claritin/weight loss? Wonder how that works? I know that taking Apple Cidar Vinegar capsules help you to lose weight my friend took those, she was taking them in the spring/summer lost weight but she kept on smelling vinegar, she was sweating it out. How are you feeling now simplyme? The aches are from helping with the carpet and moving the piano, I am positive on that one! I am not a physical person and one day I moved heavy things around and boy was I aching the next day, so achy I felt sick. I think its allergies to. Hope you feel better.
