Does anyone have kids with gasto problems? If so, what are the signs? My daughter V** Sat. at my moms house, lucky me I was not there. But she was not ill and it came after a large burp. She does this often. Should I have her checked out?

My daughter did that once. I have heard a lot about kids these days having these kinds of problems. I wouldn't at all hesitate getting her checked out.
\"This too shall pass\"
maybe reflux? my dad has it bad, and he just burps and v* sometimes, especially if lying down. I dont know how common this is in children, you should get it checked out.
Iv heard that there is a surgery for severe reflux which then makes it impossible to v*. I want that done!!! lol
Holly, my husband had that surgery done. He had bad stomach problems... So I am thinking that maybe she is inheriting his problem... Hope not. And with the surgery you will never V** again.

If your husband has it there is a high chance that your child may have it. If it continues to happen have her check out with the doctor. They may do the stomach tests on her to find out. I hope she is feeling better. I had my first upper GI when I was 11, they thought it was stomach problems.. umm no it is the phobia!
hiya hope your little girl is ok.... my dad also suffers with this stuff as well...... probably best to get her checked out for your sake as well as hers!!!
i've just made myself laugh out loud at work...... this operation to stop reflux.... i daydreamed for about 20 mins about how I could get this operation done somehow maybe i'd win the lottery and pay for it................ sometimes I have such crazy thoughs because of my emet.... but then it would be a wonderful solution.... can you imagine?? knowing you won't be sick EVER???? rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love that operation, too!! Especially right now since I am big fat and pregnant and feel like I am going to v** up acid all the time!!
But, back to your topic, I think Logan has that problem too, she often says that she feels like she is going to throw up, but that her tummy doesn't hurt, she just has burning in her throat, I wonder if I should take her and have her checked out for that, as well. I think you should take her in, if they can put newborns on medications for reflux, then there has to be something to help your daughter!!
i would honestly say it cant hurt her at all to mention it to a doctor and see what they have to say about it but on the flip side, not saying anything is probably not the smartest choice for her just incase there is a problem. if there is nothing to be worried about, a doctor can tell you as much you know? and the knowledge is always reassuring
It could be worth checking into if you do know she is not sick. Could be reflux. My daughter has it. She is only 13 months. She will spit up a little...not v*.

Oh yea. One of my friends has a son who is 7. He has reflux BAD. He goes through bouts of belching and v*...I just remembered that. He had to be diagnosed of course and now he takes Zantac. He is getting worse so she is taking him back to the doctor.
My son has acid reflux and takes Prevacid.
Stella
Just to bump this up a bit... If I take her to the dr what kind of testing will be done? I am afraid for her to go thru anything scary cause she is only 3. Last night she said her belly hurt, and of course this reminds me to do something. Any ideas out there as to what she may have to go thru? TIA

I don't think they put them through anything tramatic, they may just listen to your description of her symptoms and put her on an acid reducer, the only thing they did to me was an Upper GI when they diagnosed my reflux.
