So for Lent, I've decided to give up washing my hands with soap! Obviously I still wash them just with water, but so far I've been doing really well by resisting the temptation to use a hundred pumps of soapMy hands were extremely red, cracked, bleeding and painful, but since I've stopped using harsh soap, they're looking a lot better! I will use soap when my hands actually look dirty, or if I have a proper reason for it, but I've just given up washing them with soap when I think they're covered in germs and Norovirus and everything. It's really difficult for me not to use it, but I'm trying my best and hopefully something good will come of it. I would really encourage you to give up something "weird" that you do, even if it's just little, because you might find that actually you can live without it!
