    Default anyone work with kids?

I've been doing some nanny work with 6 month old twins and a 19 month old, today one of the twins got really sick and projectile v* a LOT three times in 20 mins, luckily the Mum was on hand to clean him up etc, however I was holding him all the time he was being sick. I got really panicky and my heart was racing and I was then scared to hold him in case he was sick again, I'm pretty sure he has a bug and really don't want to go back tomorrow in case it happens again or the other two children get it, or I get it so am really anxious and worried. How do other people cope with sick kids? I thought I had quite mild emet however today proved just how panicky I get and its really getting me down.

Default Re: anyone work with kids?

I teach preschool and have had kids get s* at school. I am usually freaking out inside but manage to stay calm in the midst of it. Wash your hands alot. I have been working there 6 years and have never v*. I also have kids of my own and they have been ill and my husband and I have not caught it. I know it is hard to go back and believe me years ago I quit a job because of a bad bug going around, so I get it. You did great today just staying and holding him....that is huge!
