I posted about htis last night, but I still don't know what to do. I am pretty sure what my dad had Wednesday night/Thursday was a sv. Do you think it is safe to go over there to see my sister tonight before she leaves from prom? I really want to be there for her because my mom couldn't get off work. What do you think?

Quick update - I just talked to my dad and he said he feels better today, a little tired and a little achey but better. At first he thought it was food poisoning - no v* but a lot of d* and n*. The stomach part only lasted a couple of hours, then he had the chills, aches, dizzy and just really tired. Pretty much sounds like a sv to me. I'm sure he is still contagious. He said a lot of people had it at work. Ahh!! I thought the sv season was over!

Sounds like an sv to me too, seeing as how people at his work have had it. Atleast he had no "V" Has your sister been around him much? I hope she hasnt been exposed, I would hate for her to miss prom!! I think that if you make a quick trip over there to see your sister, you will be ok. I just wouldnt be hugging all over everyone, or be getting too close to your Dad. Would your Dad take offense if you asked him to please keep his distance from you until he feels 100%? I say, if you go over there, see your sister, then make sure to wash your hands well, ect ....... that you will be fine.

How's the weather? Can you just stop by and see your sis outside and get a couple pictures or something? Personally, I would not go. But, because I know I am not strong enough to not obsess afterward and that is just pure hell for me.

Well, my sister's boyfirend's dad made their dinner reservations for 8:00. That wouldn't work because they would miss most of prom, so they had to get new reservations at the last minute. The only thing available was 4:30 so they went really early. I was still at work then, so it kind of made my decision really easy. But now I have a new problem. My husband and I are looking at building a new house. I was telling my mom about it, and she wants to go with me to see the model tomorrow. What should I do? She isn't sick (at least not yet) but could she be carrying the germs?

Could you just meet your mom there or do you have to ride together? Good thing it's not a v* virus, the nausea is bad enough, along with the d* but at least there's no v*.
