    Default Feeling ill & scared

Started coming down with a cold over weekend, and today its affecting my throat, head and got a blocked nose. My voice is so deep and croaky I sound like a man but havent felt n* which had been a relief - I can cope with all the crap a cold involves. But about 8 hours ago I started to feel really n*, this sensation swept over me in waves and scared the crap out of me. Ive taken max dose of phenergan (50mg) about 2-3 hours ago plus a mild tranquiliser but even though its taking the edge off its still there. Whats scaring me is that my immune system is probably not all that great at moment as Im struggling with this cold and I know theres a s* & d* bug around me area. In fact the co-worker I caught this cold off has 2 young grandchildren that spend every day at her house who have only just got over a stomach bug. I feel so crappy and my stomach aches as well as these horrible waves of n*. I havent posted on here in a while and its nice to see so many new members.

I'm a bit late and hopefully you're asleep by now!

I think it's unlikely you caught anything from your colleague - I'm sure you are sensible about hygiene and she wasn't ill herself. I don't think having a cold puts you at greater risk, either. Are you feeling any better now? xxx
