Exclamation Need help feeling really sick

I got my tooth pulled today and I had to be put to sleep because of the severity of my tooth. I've been feeling bad off and on all day and would get hungry and try to eat even though it was very difficult. But after I'd eat I felt horrible. I got it pulled about 12 hours ago and now I'm feeling really sick. I start to move I feel sick sweaty and shaky. Has anyone gone through this and what I do to stop this nausea? I want to take a bath because I'm really sore on top of it from my exercises, but I'm afraid I'll feel bad there too. I'm so terrified.

Have you asked for an anti-emetic beforehand? Also, how long have you been put to sleep? I, at the moment, think it's more mental at the moment.

^ I think so too. The anesthetic would have well passed. If you're feeling pain from your tooth, they should have instructed you what to take. Unless it's a rare reaction to a pain reliever, I think your stomach will be fine.

I talked to my dad and he said I just get my self too stressed out trying to take care of the kids, the house, the bills, homeschool, trying to keep everyone happy and give them what they want, a horrid marriage. Plus I don't spend enough time for myself and now I've been temporarily immobilized. And my house got destroyed in one day and that's all I can think about. Now I'm starting to hurt a little but I only take pain meds when I'm completely down. Cuz I feel if you keep taking them they won't work when you really need them. I just had a phone call from my dentist. He called to check up on me and I thought that was the sweetest thing ever, he didn't have to do that. But he did, and I love that. So I burst into tears because my dear husband hasn't called once today to check on me. I can't stop crying and in some way it helps.

hope you are resting right now.

it is funny how when we are "immobilized" how everything seems to come to light.......guess that proves the theory that distractions can be the best medicine. when we're busy we don't notice all the "stuff" going on......sometimes that good.....sometimes that's not.

hopefully today will be better in all ways for you i certainly hope so

Despite all my medications I still had a restless night. Not as bad today but my jaw hurts a little and is a little stiff. All the other stuff I'll try to get back into routine today. I have 3 boys and the two who know better are so sloppy and just don't care. My 12 yr old is the worst mess maker he'll spill something and it's whoopsie. You can tell him to do something and one his way there he forgot and made another mess. He's so frustrating. My 7 yr old isn't as bad but he has OCD over certain things. And my toddler likes to pick up toy boxes and just dump them out. If you give him food he throws it on the ground first or if you give him too much to drink he'll pour the rest on the floor. I feel like I live in a house full of monkies. It's insane.

It sounds like you have a lot on your plate, anyone would feel the way you do. I'm glad you are feeling better today, once you are able to function 100%, I'm sure you will feel better, it's always hard when we can't do everything we feel we need to.

Hang in there and keep us posted!

I do have a lot on my plate. I got up and started to clean, I didn't get to far but I got some done. Then I had a protein shake because I needed to take my medications. But now I just took a shower and I felt weak and sick to my stomach again. It maybe not eating and the protein shake usually doesn't make me feel that well, but I just didn't feel like eating and I know I have to take the antibiotic and pain medicine with something. I can't wait for this to be over. I'm still depressed because I haven't talked to my husband in a few days we had our two year anniversary and had little disagreement and haven't talked since. But I thought he cared enough to check on me but I was wrong. So I'm upset because I'm sick of going though this with him. I think he causes a lot of my stomach problems. So no I'm not 100% yet. :-(

I'm sorry to hear about you and your husband, something like that would totally cause a stomach ache! He is insensitive if he hasn't even checked up on you! I hope that things start to look up soon.

Yeah my relationship really messes me up. I'm not as nauseated today thank goodness but I am feeling some pain. I wish I would have asked for something a little stronger than Motrin.

Starting to get paranoid. My dad was here Thursday with me all day because I was out of it. Today I've been ok but a couple of hours ago I started to get dizzy and fell asleep for a little bit. My dad called me early this afternoon and told me he didn't feel good he had a stomach ache. I have killer acid belly right now and I text him to see how he was doing but I got no reply. Plus my husband showed up today also with his laundry and yet still didn't ask how I've been. He works out of town for two weeks and I haven't talked to him in almost a week. So I wasn't receptive to him or happy to see him. He's gone till Wednesday.

I really think what you are feeling is anxiety/nerves/emotional. You are stressed out due to all that is happening, and your body is just trying to cope with everything. I wish I had some great advice for you, but I don't. Just stay distracted, do you have a friend/family member you can call or chat with? That always helps me when I'm feeling crummy due to stress. I call my mom and distract myself, and then realize that I actually feel ok, it's just nerves.

I hope you find some peace.
