    Default A little help please...

This is not a panic post .....YET! Today gas been a bit weird for me. I was feeling fine most of the day. I felt a bit hungry aroound lunch time. So i munched a few handfuls of cereal. Then my hubby wanted to go out to lunch. So we went. While we were there i wasnt all that hungry, i dont know if thats because of the cereal but I really didnt eat much of that. I ate half of a pesto wrap and some of the pasta salad. The pasta salad kind of grossed me out because it was overcooked. But for the most part the meal was ok. I brought the other half of the wrap home. I was fine for the rest of the day. Until it came time for dinner. I didnt feel great but tried to eat a little anyway. After about 5 bites I quit. BUt i think its cause my mind was racing....i was thinking that maybe the reason i didnt feel hungry is because i have a SV. I have been in a situation once where someone said that they couldnt tell if they were sick or hungry and they ended up being VERY sick. So now I am feeling a bit nauseated, I keep trying to swallow cause it feels like i have something in my throat and I have a little bit of indigestion. If i have a sv would i have V'd already. Like not too long after I ate the food? I ate about and hour and a half ago. I still feel queasy in my stomach. Could this be an SV? I dont have time to be sick right now. I am in the middle of moving to Japan! We are getting our stuff ready for the moving company to come on Monday and I have so much to do! Any ideas?

Hey Hun, I just saw your post.
Are you ok now? I'm hoping you are resting well. I honestly believe it's your mind playing tricks on you. You worried yourself because you didn't feel hungry and the emet brain took over and convinced you that the reason you didn't have much appetite was cause something was wrong. It's ok to occasionally not have much of an appetite. Could be from stress, excessive heat, any number of things.
I don't think there's anything to worry about. Let me know how you're doing!

My mother used to say this sentence to me when I was fearing v*: You feel bad HOURS before v*.
And my school headmistress told me this last year when I was fearing v*: You don't have time and place to v*.

    Think this way:
    - If the food was poisoned or something, you would have v* within one hour after eating.
    - When you have a SV, you can't STAND food. It's disgusting just smelling it.

You must be sleeping now, but if you are not, take something against nausea before going to bed. Even if it's nothing, it will make you feel safer. If it's something, the medication will hold the v* inside you until tomorrow.

Good luck, I think you are just nervous about the moving to Japan!

Not sleeping yet. I just took a hot bath, that usually makes me feel better. Although it did work somewhat I still have the heartburn. I took a homeopathic remedy for upset stomach a little while before taking a bath and it didnt work. I should have taken more but I got in the tub instead. I still havent V but I was wondering if this is the "you feel bad for hours before you V" Could it be? I feel like i have something stuck in my throat. I just had a mint and it made me feel a little better. Should i still sit up and worry or do you think i will make it through the night?
Yeah I was thinking that I was a bit tired and maybe thats where the lack of appetite came from. I have been very busy with this move.

Aw, sweetie I'm sorry you haven't been able to rest yet.
I really believe it would've happened by now if it was going to. If the mint helped, is it possible it could be some type of reflux? Especially if you feel like you have something in your throat. I think that if you were truly sick, the mint would have made it worse. Can you try some type of heartburn med?
Maybe try propping some pillows behind you and watch some tv or a movie. That way, it can help distract you and maybe you will relax enough to be able to doze off.
