5 more weeks and school starts and that means 9 months of hell worrying about noro. I hate the fact summer is soo short. Good news is my kids have been V free for well over a year. Tbh it hasnt been that great of a summer for us anyways.

don't tell me about the school,horrible! Every year the same. Winter is the most critic,as we all know. and i didn't get sv* all this years (I'm 17) and hope I won't this year!

Dude I feel like I cannot escape this shit. I was doing so well and then BAM, it hits like a tornado. For the past few weeks, people have been dropping like flies. I cannot even enjoy what's left of summer because I'm too damn paranoid.

Good to see you dead, been awhile. Yeah im down today because its dreary, rainy and in the 60's. Kinda reminds me of fall. Ive been doing good all summer but once school starts i know my phobia will be back for 8-9 months.

Oh no! My kids go back on the 21st. My youngest is starting kindergarten, and that's the year none of my kids has escaped the bug. Those little ones pass it all around, so I'm so nervous. I wish I could homeschool sometimes.

I'm glad I'm out of school as well. Today was a really cool day. At the family picnic, I actually got cold because I had on a sleeveless top. I went home, put on a shortsleeve top, got my jacket, and went back out to the picnic. I felt nice and warm after that. We all enjoyed the cool breezy day because we've had such a hot summer. I live in West Virginia in the U.S. Was anybody on here affected by the June 29 derecho and the ensuing power outage and heat wave?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Unfortunately both my girls got s* this summer and to me ruined the 'can't wait until summer' thing. Mine are going in to the 4th and 5th grades so trust and believe you're not the only one freaking out But, we're all here if you need to vent!

Ahh yes it has. Good to see you, too. I am looking forward to fall. I enjoy the cooler weather. So many people have been down for the count this summer due to gastrointestinal ailments, very unfortunate.

I have to go back to school. Well, college anyways.

I've been out of school since January. Ugh, I don't want to go back. Not just because of noro....but because it's back to papers, projects, midterms, tests, etc. Ugh.

Was at the ER tonight thinking i had gallstones but it turned out to be bilary colic no stones. Lots of sick people there tonight V. Nurse told me theres a bad bug going around. Thankfully i touched nothing in there and stayed far from everyone. The doc gave me zofran so im prepared if this bug hits us this season. I was doing good until tonight.

Yeah i had my gallbladder out 7 years ago and this is common i guess. Didnt want to go in but after 5 weeks of discomfort i did. I handled the other sick people ok, just stayed away. I got a feeling this is going to be a long rough season.

My school started this Monday. I'm sick of moving to other classrooms every hour and it's even worse cause the windows are CLOSED! I don't know what is with people but it smells yuck in there. And the wheather is good but nobody wants to open the windows. And it's a little bit hot in the classrooms. I sit in other part of classroom so when i opet the window sometimes, somebody immidiately close it! That irritates me.
And today my professor told her kid is ill today! She didn't say detailes,just ill. And before that,she was right in front of me talking for a few minutes,HORRIBLE! I hope i won't catch anything, OMG :/

School starts tomorrow for my kid. Im not thrilled but im doing ok. Stocked up on zofran for us in case. Hopefully it wont be a bad school year.

No sv yet but both my kids already have one heck of a cold they brought home the first week into school. Went all summer with nothing. Just goes to show how germ infested public schools are.

Im guessing you guys are all from the US? I am from england and i dont have children at school and im 26 so i work but i can imagine how difficult it must be worrying about the schools. if it makes u feel better, we havent had a summer at all, its currently 9 degrees and its not even winter yet. everyone is poorly here in winter and now i have a cold!

One of my classmates is sick!! Worry,worry,worry! she wasn't at school today,one of my close friend (who is also close with her) told me that she was sick since saturday and that she's v*. I'm not that close to her,but i'm a little afraid,what if she'd be still contagious when she gets back to school. I didn't hear about sv* here for a long while so i'm surprised.

I think they have to stay away for 48 hrs. you wouldnt have caught anything before she had it either. some ppl just say they have a virus but are not always right. x

Well both kids have the cold now. Been going on for about 4 days. Glad its not a sv but the gagging cough drives me nuts.

Well,she's been at the hospital yesterday cause they though it might be appendix,but it's not that. For me it's better she has appendix. It sounds so mean,urgh! She's better today and coming to school tomorrow. I'm going to avoid her. I dreamt last night she came back to school and was close to me all day! Horrible

Sometimes I wish I could go into school after hours, gloves and mask on of course, and just clean the heck out of them. Bc I know most ppl who clean them probably don't care and just want to go home, and Half ass the cleaning. That place would be sparkling if I went through it every night and hopefully less sick kids!! I also hate this time of year. I worry about kids getting sick while I'm cutting their hair, or have recently been sick. I can't tell you how many people bring their kids into my shop to get their haircut on their day off from missing school because they are sick. Luckily it's never really a SV but still. Stay home!!!!!
