Default Stomach ache and no voice?!

This might sound a bit strange but I'm meant to be going to my other half's parents house for dinner tonight. I was actually looking forward to it, but I've got some kind of cold (not really bunged up or anything?) but I have completely lost my voice. This does tend to happen with me when I get a cold!

I lost my voice yesterday evening. I had woken up Saturday morning with a really bad sore throat and it just deteriorated throughout the day.

Now though, most of the afternoon, I've had a tummy ache. It must have started around 2pm and it comes and goes but seems to be getting worse. I keep going to the loo for bowel movements, and it's nothing like d* just a bit looser than normal. I just feel lethargic and rubbish sort of thing.

I'm just worried if I go out, I'll get worse and worse and my tummy will get worse. Another part of me is paranoid as I had a fry up this morning (I need comfort food when I'm ill!!) and I have this thing about meat not being done, but my other half had exactly the same and he's fine as far as I'm aware.

    What should I do?

Oh I am sorry! I wonder if you have mucus upsetting your stomach (sorry for slightly gross way of putting it!). Although you do say you're not too bunged up. Perhaps the grease of the fry-up annoyed your digestive system a bit. I wouldn't expect you to get any worse. It sounds like a cold not an sv*. I do think you have IBS (if I recall correctly) so it may be that your system doesn't like fried foods. I feel for you just wanting to be 'normal' and go out and about; I know that feeling well. Hopefully you'll be on the mend very soon xxx
