    Default aging & vting?

Iv`e just read a thread on this site that reckons people are more prone to v as they age, I`m wondering if that`s true, because Iv`e always assumed the opposite. Why would older people v more than the young. This post has scared me because I`m in my 50`s, & I don`t look forward to old age anyway, & I just don`t need this to worry about as well!

No, people are less likely to vomit as they get older. The exception is vomiting from reactions to medications, which gets more common as people get older and need more medications. Doug

I don't know the thread in question but I think it may have been referring to people who are at an extremely advanced age, over eighty, who are in assisted living? As you get to quite an advanced age the stomach can become more sensitive I believe, but as Doug said it probably has more to do with medications than age.

Thank you for saying these things, very reassuring. There`s just one thing that`s really scary, having to go into one of those dreadful care homes when I`m of an advanced age. Just imagine how bad it would be being in one of those places when there`s a bug doing the rounds!

That's probably only true due to reactions to medications rather than any form of noro. Plus they'd get less chances of getting sick since theyve been exposed for a long time
