This is so not good. My friend and I went out to eat the other day, and we were sitting the the same room as the bar. There is a wall that separates the bar frim the dinner tables, but there is also a window so you can see the bar. Well, we were eating and talking when all of the sudden she says, " Kelly, what ever you do don,t turn around" and right away I knew what was going on. This guy was sitting at the bar drinking, and he just started v*ing all over himself and the bar. So I quit eating and started shaking. I was afraid of smelling it. So the poor waitress had to clean it up, and I completly freaked when we had to leave, because we sort of had to walk by it. But I got out of the restaurant and hyperventilated a little , then I was fine. It's been a while since I've been in a situation like that, and I realized that I have not made any progress whatsoever with this phobia. Thanks for reading!! Kelly

Oh that's awfull! The guy prob. just drank too much. But it sounds to me like you handled it just fine! You could have gotten up and ran out but you stayed where you were untill it was time to leave. And after you left, you got a little panic but then you were fine-I think that's great!Give yourself some credit, you could have handled it worse but you handled it like anyone else would have. A little grossed out, but fine!I think most people who witnessed that would have lost their appitite.

Oh my gosh! That's horrible. I'm so sorry you had to see
that. But it sounds like you did well! I hate when people
drink until they are sick. What are they thinking???
Anyway, you should be proud of yourself. You did leave, but a
small panic attack is way better then a HUGE one. Carrie

Oh, I would've freaked out in that situation! And I feel terrible for the waitress!! I don't know what I would've done if I was her!

Wow Kelly!!! I am so sorry you had to go through that! Yucky! But like everyone above has said, you handled it very well! You handled it a lot bettter than I would've! I would've straight up ran out of the restaurant if something like that happened...no kidding! But you stayed! Good for you! You one-uped the phobia!

Wow.

1. I would have found an alternate route out of the restaurant, so congrats on being able to walk by it.

2. If I were the waitress, I would have quit on the spot.

You did good, my therapist would have been proud. The fear and shaking you had were what you thought the right response should be, but you calmed down quickly, so you are headed in the right direction!!!

Nice, real mature behavior on his part (LOL). It was definitely a drunk thing, but still pretty gross, nonetheless.

I think you probably have made some progress on your phobia, because
like many other people have said I would have left on the spot and
probaby never returned!
