Question Question for those with IBS

I have a question about the type of symptoms that IBS can cause. From what I understand, stress and certain foods are triggers, and the symptoms really are different for everyone. That being said, does anyone diagnosed with IBS here experience recurrent abdominal pain that feels a bit like a mix of period pain (by period pain I mean dull ache in the lower belly that radiates to the lower back) mixed with some mild d* cramps, and an urge to pee? But that doesn't actually turn into real d* but (TMI maybe) just softer stools and feeling bloated and gassy? Like it's not crippling pain but still uncomfortable, and it doesn't require frequent trips to the bathroom like d* because even though there's the urge to have a bowel movement sometimes it's easily controllable. I've been having symptoms like that lately (and to be fair I've been under huge amounts of stress since may so maybe it's just stress) and I was a bit puzzled mostly by the urge to pee when there's cramps. I've had UTIs in the past and the symptoms just don't fit (no fever, no pain when going to the bathroom, kidneys not sensitive) so I was curious if IBS could cause that specific set of symptoms in some people. So, let me know if it would fit Thanks

I am dealing with the same thing right now... I used to have IBS with diarrhea but it had been mostly constipation for the last 3 years. Right now, I feel just crampy, gassy, bloated & all over "ugh." I'm 2 weeks into my cycle so I thought maybe ovulation? I also have the urgency to urinate-- posted on another thread earlier of a fellow emet dealing with same thing. I even had a BM this morning (felt super nauseous before), but still feel the crampy icky feeling. Like there's a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen or something? Sorry I am not more help- just wanted you to know you're not alone!! Def post if you "figure it out" & I'll do the same. For now, I'm eating bland and took pepto & tums.

I haven't been diagnosed with it officially but I read about it after I had an incident with gallstones and it sounds like I do (I have lactose intolerance so I deal with stuff like that anyway). I know exactly what you're describing and I get those issues too.

Definitely sounds like IBS to me.
